2015 Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 to Debut at 2014 Geneva Auto Show
Lamborghini has finally come forth with details surrounding the long-awaited successor to the Gallardo, and it will be called the Huracán LP610-4. The Italian automaker will reveal the Huracán at the 2014 Geneva auto show, where its aggressive design and breathtaking performance figures are sure to be the talk of the event.
Contrary to earlier reports that it would receive the Cabrera moniker, the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán takes its name from yet another historic bull, this one a Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed which fought with courage and defiance in Alicante in 1879.
Like its namesake, the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán looks to be solid, stoic, and fearsome. Consistent with the spy shots we've seen, the design draws clear inspiration from big-brother Lamborghini Aventador, but Huracán looks leaner and even more agile. A defining feature is a single curved line that runs from the front of the cockpit over the roof, merging smoothly aside the rear window and intakes until it settles neatly at the slightly raised rear decklid. From this curved monolithic shape, sharper, more geometric incisions, characteristic of recent Lamborghini offerings, counter the gentle silhouette. Deep front and rocker sill intakes, inset hexagonal windows, and triangular motifs echoed between the full-LED headlamps and hood lines add an energetic, carved-in aesthetic.
